Northcote House 1
Designed extensions to an early 20th century weatherboard in Northcote. The project brief included opening the house to benefit from the winter sun and north-facing garden; enlarging the existing house to incorporate additional living area; and propose a new kitchen and wet areas. This involved removing the existing north facing wet areas and kitchen. The new arrangement of spaces and their expression as form will open up the main living areas and study to the north winter sunlight and to views of the north garden. A pallet of warm natural materials and zincalume steel are proposed for the interiors and exterior.
